I've been an electrician since 1997, which means I've been doing this longer than some of my customers have been alive, and yes, I do bring that up occasionally.

It started in high school in Monterey. I got my hands on some electrical work, realized I was good at it, and just never stopped. I worked my way up to foreman, ran projects across residential, commercial, and industrial the kind of work that teaches you fast because there's no room to fake it when something needs to actually work.

When I relocated to Paso Robles I joined a local pump company and that's honestly where this whole thing made sense to me. Out here, power isn't just convenient, it's everything. No electricity means no water. No water means no crops, no livestock, no household. I started to understand that when I show up for someone, I'm not just fixing a pump or wiring a panel. I'm keeping their operation running. That stuck with me.

In 2019 I decided to go out on my own and start Janatsch Electric. Best decision I ever made. I specialize in agricultural and domestic well pumps, irrigation systems, VFD controls, generators, solar, arena and barn lighting — basically everything the Central Coast needs to keep the lights on and the water flowing. I'm also the preferred local technician for Generac and Kohler generators, which I genuinely enjoy because there's real problem solving involved.
